Throughout the second era, the Steel Vanguard stood as vigilant and elite knights of law and order in an empire that shaped half the world. They were champions, heroes, legends. Thousands of years later, they have been forgotten. The halls of their unreachable fortress lie empty. That is, until a fellowship stumbles upon one of the ancient Cullis Gates of the Empire, and they are teleported into Soldier's Peak. These wayward adventurers are charged by the talking skull Jasper with continuing the legacy of the Steel Vanguard.
